All Day Long Crockpot Beef

1.
Cut beef roast into serving-sized portions.
Use more beef if you need more than 6 servings.
Brown beef in a bit of vegetable oil, although you can skip this step if rushed for time.

Slice onion and separate into rings.
Dice the peeled carrots, dice the celery and slice the peppers into thin strips or circles.
Place these into bottom of crockpot.
Sprinkle the beef pieces with fresh ground black pepper, minced garlic and the onion soup mix.
Place on top of the vegetables.
3.
Mix the steak sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl with about 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup tomato juice.
Pour this over the meat.
4.
Turn the crockpot to high for 30 minutes, or, if you're in a hurry, skip this step.
Turn to low, cover and cook for 7-9 hours.
* Keep the crockpot covered as much as possible throughout cooking time.
A crockpot can be used to cook this type of meal for a varied amount of time, depending on your schedule.
It is not important that you take the meat and vegetables out at a specific amount of time.
One or two hours either way usually makes no difference.
When ready to serve, dip meat and vegetables out of pot with a slotted spoon.
Use the liquid as is or turn crockpot to high and thicken liquid with a little flour or cornstarch.

Apple Pork Roast In Crockpot

Trim any fat from pork.
Cut in half, if necessary to fit into crockpot.
Spray crockpot with non-stick spray.
Place carrots, and celery into bottom of crock pot.
Sprinkle tapioca over top.
Combine apple Juice with other ingredients and add to pot.
Cover.
Cook on Low for 10-12 hours or on high for 5 to 6 hours.

Apple Glazed Roast Pork Crockpot

1.
Rub roast with salt and pepper.
Brown port roast under broiler to remove excess fat; drain well.
2.
Place apple quarters in bottom of crockpot.
Place roast on top of Apples.
3.
Combine apple juice, brown sugar, and ginger.
Spoon over top surface of roast, moistening well.
4.
Cover and cook on Low setting for 10 to 12 hours or until done.
5.
NOTE: Use natural, non-sweetened apple juice in this.

Beef Diablo Crockpot

Trim all excess fat from roast.
Place potatoes and onion in bottom of crockpot.
Make a smooth paste of flour, mustard, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar and sugar.
Spread over top of roast (cut roast in half, if necessary, to fit easily).
Place roast in crockpot on top of potatoes and onions.
Cover and cook on LOW setting for 10 to 12 hours (on HIGH setting for 5 to 6 hours).
(about 3 quarts).

Boston Brown Bread (crockpot)

Stir together flours, cornmeal, baking powder, soda, and salt.
Combine egg, molasses, sugar and oil.
Add flour mixture to molasses mixture alternately with buttermilk; beat well.
Stir in raisons.
Turn batter into two well greased 16 ounce vegetable cans.
Cover cans tightly with foil.
Place cans in crockery cooker.
Cover and cook on high heat setting fro 3 hours.
Remove cans from cooker.
Cool 10 minutes in cans.
Serve warm.
Makes 2 loaves.

Cheery Cherry Bread Crockpot

Drain cherries,s reserving 1/3 c syrup, and cut cherries in pieces (about 1/2 c).
Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
Beat eggs and sugar together until thick and piled softly.
Alternately add dry ingredients an the 1/3 c cherry syrup to egg mixture, mixing until well-blended after each addition.
Mix in cherries and pecans.
Turn into well greased and floured cooker bake pan or 2 lb.
coffee can.
Cover bake pan with lid or i using coffee can, cover with 6 layers paper towels.
Set in crock pot.
Cover and cook on high 2 - 3 hours.
Remove bake pan and cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.

Chicken And Herb Dumplings Crockpot

Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper, place in crockpot.
Insert cloves in one onion.
Put all onions into pot.
Add garlic, marjoram, thyme, bay leaf and wine.
Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours.
Remove bay leaf and cloves.
Stir in sour cream.
Increase heat to high and combine biscuit mix with parsley.
Stir milk into biscuit mix until well moistened.
Drop dumplings from teaspoon around edge of pot.
Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes.

Chicken And Sausage Gumbo crockpot

For roux, in a heavy 2-quart saucepan stir together flour and oiltill smooth.
Cook over medium-high heat 5 minutes, stirringconstantly.
Reduce heat to medium.
Cook and stir constantlyabout 15 minutes more or till a dark, reddish brown roux forms.
Cool.
In a crockery cooker place water.
Stir in roux.
Add sausage, chicken, okra, onion, green pepper, celery, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper.
Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 10-12 hours or on high-heat setting for 4 1/2 to 5 hours.
Skim off fat.
Serve over rice.
Makes 6 servings.

Chicken Spaghetti Crockpot

Here's what I've done a time or four.
This "recipe" has not been cooked often enough to be stabilized and really called a recipe.
Still, there have been no complaints and many requests for seconds.
A tsp to a Tbsp or so of the following (to taste): Onion powder Garlic powder (NOT garlic salt) Ground black pepper Ground red pepper (cayenne) Ground white pepper Basil Parsley Paprika Oregano Spaghetti Put the chicken into a crockpot early in the day.
It's fine if they are still frozen.
Add as little liquid as possible.
Water, chicken stock, or a bit of white vermouth, or a combination works fine.
Add a couple of bay leaves, and some salt.
Turn the crockpot on low and go to work (or carry on your normal day's activities.
When you get home, or in the evening, turn off the crockpot.
Put water on to boil the spaghetti.
Remove chicken from the crockpot and discard skin and bones.
In a deep pot, heat olive oil.
Add onion and garlic and cook until the onions are clear.
Add tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, tomato puree, the chicken and about a cup of the chicken broth from the crockpot.
(If you add too much broth, the sauce will be too soupy; if you add too little, the chicken taste will be a bit weak.) Stir, cutting up the whole tomatoes.
Add celery, onion powder, garlic powder, peppers, basil, parsley, paprika, and oregano.
Cook, stirring from time to time, while the water for the spaghetti comes to a boil.
Cook spaghetti, drain and serve with grated Parmesan cheese on the side.

Crockpot Tex Mex Chili

In skillet brown meat and garlic.
Drain.
Stir in chili powder and cumin; cook 2 minutes more.
Meanwhile in 3 1/2-, 4, 5, 6 - quart crockery cooker combine beans, celery, onions, green pepper.
Add undrained tomatoes, tomatoes and chilies, vegetable juice, tomato paste and salt.
Stir in cooked meat.
Cover cook over low heat setting for 10-12 hours or on high 4-5 hours.
Ladle chili into soup bowls.
Pass shredded cheese and sour cream with chili.
Serves 4 to 6.

Crockpot Apple Cider

Dump all ingredients in crockpot.
Heat on high for 2 hours, and on low to keep warm until ready to serve.

Crockpot Baked Bean And Wiener Soup

In large pan saute onion, wieners and garlic in margarine until onion is tender.
Stir in flour & mustard.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly, until smooth & bubbly.
Gradually stir in tomato juice, water, Worcestershire sauce and baked beans; cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Garnish each serving with cheese.

Crockpot Barbecued Turkey Legs

Sprinkle turkey with salt and pepper.
Place in a crock-pot.
Combine remaining ingredients; pour over the turkey.
Cover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours.
If the turkey legs are small, serve one thigh or one drumstick per person; if large, slice off the meat and serve with sauce.

Crockpot Basic Pot Roast

Place liner in base.
Season meat well with seasoned salt.
Place 1/2 of vegetables in bottom of removable liner; place meat on top of vegetables; add remaining vegetables.
Add crushed bouillon cubes to 3/4 cup water and pour over vegetables and meat in liner.
Cover and cook on auto 9 hours; or low 10-12 hours; or high 6-7 hours.

Crockpot Beef And Peppers

Use dried onions or finely chop about 1/2 of a fresh onion.
1.Cut the steak into serving size pieces.
If desired you can brown the meat in a little hot oil before adding to crockpot.
Place the thinly sliced pepper rings in bottom of crockpot, reserving a few to place on top of meat if desired.
(Vegetables cook better when placed on bottom of pot.) Arrange the meat on pepper, careful to not stack one piece directly on top of another.
Mix all other ingredients and pour over meat and peppers.
2.Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for about 4 hours.
Serve with mashed potatoes and simply seasoned vegetables.

Crockpot Beef And Potatoes

In large skillet or crock-pot with browning unit, brown beef; break up large chunks with fork.
Pour off excess fat.
In a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, onion, and undiluted soup.
Peel and slice potatoes.
In crock pot arrange alternate layers of potatoes and meat, with potatoes on bottom.
Pour soup mixture over.
Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.
Turn control to high.
Pour cream over all; cover and cook on high for 15 to 20 min.
Makes 6 servings.

Crockpot Beef Stew

Layer the veggies and meat (in that order), mix flour and seasonings and sprinkle over each meat layer.
Sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce, pour stewed tomatoes over all, cover and cook on Low 10-12 hours.
Variable amounts are for 3-1/2 or 5 quart pots.
I make mine up the night before and refrigerate.
My hubby (an early riser) puts it on about 7 AM and it cooks all day.
There is lots of gravy, which may be thickened with cornstarch if de- sired.
Sometimes instead of potatoes, I cook large elbow macaroni separately (Muellers Ready-cut) and put the >>>>>> leftover macaroni in the bowl with leftover stew to soak up the good gravy.
I also add a drained can of cut green beans to the veggies (during the last 4 hours) in that case.

Crockpot Beef Vegetable Soup

Place all except frozen vegetables in crock pot.
Turn on low and cover, cooking for 6 hours.
One half hour before serving, turn up to high, add frozen veggies, stir and cover.
NOTES: If you are in a hurry you can do this in 3 1/2 hours on high heat.
Remove the bayleaf before serving.
You can add 1/2 cup of red wine with the vegetables for a more robust flavor.

Crockpot Boston Baked Beans

Soak beans in water overnight.
Drain and put all ingredients in cooker.
Add 1 cup water and stir to blend.
Cover and cook on low 10 to 12 hours.
Can also spice it up with a few cloves of garlic, a half teaspoon of powdered ginger, and a good dash of Worchestershire sauce.
As an option, stir in 1 cup drained pineapple chuncks during the last hour of cooking for a delicious fruity flavor.

Crockpot Brunswick Stew

In Crockpot, stir together UNDRAINED tomatoes and tomato paste.
Add chicken, FROZEN succotash or sliced okra, onion, bay leaf, salt, rosemary, pepper and cloves.
Stir in chicken broth.
Cover; cook on low heat setting for 5 to 6 hours.
Before serving, remove bay leaf and stir well.
Makes 6 servings.
